Eager & Partners through the times
Between 1948 and 1963, the years preceding Tom Eager’s arrival at the firm, an accounting practice had continuously operated in Bairnsdale, East Gippsland through a number of successive predecessor firms.
The firm of today has built on the groundwork and history of these predecessor firms.
Our History

1963
Wilson Bishop & Henderson of Melbourne (subsequently PKF Australia, then BDO) acquired the practice of W. L. Porch & Co. Tom Eager was appointed Practice Manager, and the office was located at 100 Main Street, Bairnsdale.

1965
Tom Eager appointed Partner.

1967
Bairnsdale practice of Stephenson & Matthews acquired.

1967-1969
Firm relocates to 39 Service Street, Bairnsdale.

1969
Ern Lloyd became Partner.

1970
Practice purchased by Tom Eager and Ern Lloyd from Wilson, Bishop & Henderson.

1974
Bairnsdale office relocated to its current premises at 74 Main Street.

John Summers became Partner.

1982
Name changed to Eager Lloyd Summers.

1986
Ern Lloyd and John Summers retired. Robert Zagami became Partner. Name changed to Eager & Partners.

John Glynn became Partner. Association formed with RGM Financial Group which became a Partner.

Lakes Entrance office opened, initially sharing premises with Engel and Partners.

RGM Financial Group ceased as a Partner. Tom Eager retired as a Partner and continued as a consultant. Rick Bourke became a Partner.
